Exactly, everything I'm doing these days with these older models is "period correct". Back in 1995 when these came out, GW based them on green. So, I'm doing the same.
It also allows me to use them as Vets with my Imperial Guard.
Dylan these are great, Ive been taking a look at your whole blog....its awesome, Ive recently started my own collection of models (although I dont play the game) but I was wondering if you could take a look at a few photos I've popped up at let me know what yo think? any veteran painting tips and so on!!??
I started playing Warhammer 40K around 1997, dabbling in Fantasy, Gorkamorka, Mordhiem, but my true passion is 40K and as such, has brought me to collect the models I started playing with. So, you'll see a lot of 2nd edition (and older) on here.
That servitor is a cool model. I hadnt seen one before.
ReplyDeletejust curious why you chose to base the necro models as grass - especially when the suits are green too??
ReplyDeleteThat's not grass, it's underhive algae!
ReplyDeleteThese guys look great, very crisp and neat. Well painted!
I love these guys. They are old school and the basing theme fits perfectly being old school as well.
ReplyDeleteVery cool.
Ron, FTW
