Finished Death Guard

Finished this guy up and even added a little free hand to an otherwise blank shoulder pad.

  1. I've painted that model, twice in fact as I stripped and repainted it. I'm not sure those are the exact Deathguard colors, certainly not how the model was painted by 'Eavy Metal team when it came out. Mine's purple naturally. ;-)

  2. Posted up the original how to.

I'm jealous of your Nurgle heavy weapon troopers, still haven't managed to get one of them.

  3. I got a spare. Keep looking I found one on eBay a few years back, but like I said I think I have a spare. I'm not in selling mode but when I do sell off unpainted miniatures that I'm just never going to get to, I'll let people know. There were lots of old renegades I don't have. I started painting in the RT era but in Canada, we didn't always get minis even at the official GW store in a timely manner. Inventory was really hit or miss, you had to come and just hope they had what you want, several armies were heavily modified based on what models people in my original group could get. Once mail order was up and running things got a bit better for everyone. In fact I bought up a lot of old odd GW stock and so did my game group, random paints and blisters were sold through mail order when GW redid their packaging. That combined with being online forever has allowed me to score most old minis I want, being rich would of course help. ;-)

  4. I might have three of this guy.

The two painted and in my army and display case, plus a third I got used on eBay. I used to just by old renegades when they were cheap, so I have some doubles, but I tried hard to avoid them. I'm more of a collector than a gamer or painter. I try to make everyone look different, even naming my models.

  5. If you ever want to get rid of that 3rd one, I'd be interested.

  6. I figured you might. It's not for sale right now. I need to catalog my collection and determine what I will still try to paint and what I should just get rid of.
