2nd Edition Terrain in Progress

So a while back I started picking up the old terrain sets. Cause they're awesome.

A while after that talking with a friend, we discussed the idea of replacing the cardboard with styrene, and on top of that, cutting out each layer of detail to make them more 3D. So, after some thought, and me finding a lasercutter on etsy, I took the base kit from...

To the following. Still left to do are the addition of a load of rivets, which I hope to finish up in the coming days and update once the build is complete.

  1. That is awesome beyond belief! I've been wanting to do something similar with a Imperial Firebase for years...

  2. The firebase is in the works. It'll be a while still, but I have plans drawn for the card bunkers include in WD.

Those will happen sooner than later.

  4. This is blowing my mind! I started doing this with the old 2nd ed imperial bastion but I haven't managed any of the detailing. How did you cut all that? and please don't say by hand with a craft knife! also any updated pics? - or did this project get shelved?

  5. I got all the pieces laser cut and have plans to do a bunch more, actually all the old 2nd edition terrain and the necromunda stuff too. I scanned all the art and the drew it in Adobe Illustrator.

Project is on hold for a bit, need to get a base for it cut and shaped, but that may happen fairly soon. I already have the old WD Bunker drawn up, need to get that vut, maybe after the holidays.

Let me know if you're interested and we could maybe works something out. As an FYI, this is neither cheap or easy, it took a lot of finessing to get it together and looking good. But, I think the results are worth it.
